DDD: Cross Aggregate navigation

I've been chewing this one over for a couple of hours now, hitting google, looking for some guidance on how to implement the traversal between one Aggregate to another. This is what I've found, should anyone care to comment or laugh or just read this damned blog. Lets draw up an example: I have 2 entities and a value object: Publishable , User and Document Now Publishable , and User are both entities, while Document is a VO. Publishable and Document form an Aggregate ( Publishable obviously being the aggregate root as it's the only Entity). User is essentially it's own aggregate root - lets pretend that maybe it has some VOs or other entities that are subordinate to it). All well and good so far. Rock on Intel based Apple!

I'm not a die hard Apple sort of guy. I love my Apple machines and I come home to OS X Tiger, to relax from using Windows XP all day at work. So I'm not going to go one about any blasphemy on Apple's part or anything like that because quite frankly, who cares. What *I* care about, is owning a PowerBook in about a years time that runs at over 3Ghz and allows me to run OS X the way it was meant to be run. With all the speed and responsiveness Windows user's on PCs have come to expect from even their low end machines. Lets not mince word here. OS X is sloooow on anything but a fast G4 PowerMac or G5. I can imagine that OS X on a fast Intel processor will fly, with near instant application launching (given a good hard disk and bus etc) and that Java applications will finally run properly! Ever tried launching JBuilder 2005 on OS X with *any* of the JVMs available on the mac? On my humble G4 powerbook 1Ghz machine, it takes about a minute. Not acceptable. On my P4 machine it...

Cockroach DB - How to connect to a secure cluster using java in Kubernetes

Installing a secured cockroachdb into a kubernetes cluster is pretty easy. Connecting to it afterward via cockroach sql is also fairly easy. No try it with a java application. Not so easy, and not very well documented either. I found out the hard way how to go about it, and here it is in all its glory, incase I forget or incase some poor sod needs to do it too. Quick primer on cockroach db and ssl connections first. In order to connect to a secured cockroach db one has to have a client certificate and key, issued by the same CA and key being used by cockroach. This is achieved fairly elegantly (and not documented) by using an init-container in your deployment, that will issue a CSR request with kubernetes, wait for you to approve it and then mount the cert, key and ca cert into a volume on your pod - where you have access to these files within your application container.
