While working on a java project on JBuilder 2005 running on OS X Tiger, I thought to myself, why is SWING so realestate heavy on OS X? I mean, it's HUGE! The aqua L&F for swing is very wasteful of screen space. Check out the screen shot.
You can see how much space is wasted from the size of the borders around all the panels. Check out those nested panels that the editor pane sits in! Must be about an inch wasted on either side.
I think JBuilder for the mac should have it's UI tweaked. It's a sad state of afairs, but I think it has to be done. Not everyone owns a 30" apple display!
